Exhibition On Now
Created by the Antarctic Heritage Trust in partnership with Canterbury Museum, Breaking the Ice: The First Year in Antarctica is the public’s only chance to see items left behind by Carsten Borchgrevink’s Southern Cross and Robert Falcon Scott’sTerra Nova expeditions in two huts at Cape Adare.

Young Inspiring Explorers’ Summit 2019
Antarctic Heritage Trust partnered with the William Pike Challenge to bring the spirit of Antarctic exploration to a group of year 7 to 9s from around New Zealand.
Over the weekend of 21-22 September 2019, 20 students travelled to Christchurch, New Zealand’s gateway city to Antarctica, to spend the weekend with Kiwi legend William Pike at the Young Inspiring Explorers’ Summit.
