Be part of a globally renowned conservation project preserving Antarctic exploration history. The Antarctic Heritage Trust seeks an experienced objects conservator to lead artefact preservation efforts for historic expedition bases of Scott, Shackleton, and Hillary in the Ross Sea region. Work with a passionate team delivering impactful conservation projects both in New Zealand and Antarctica. This role offers a unique opportunity to safeguard 20,000 historic artefacts and contribute to inspiring future explorers.

Governance Intern Positions
Join the Antarctic Heritage Trust Board
The Trust is delighted to open applications for its governance intern positions. The AHT Board welcomes up to three governance interns at a time, giving aspiring directors an opportunity to attend governance meetings and develop their skills.
The intern position is generally for two years with the expectation that interns attend meetings (either in person or online) throughout the year and participate in Board discussions.

We look for experienced heritage professionals who are excited by the prospect of working on a leading international heritage project, able to work as part of a close knit team and – for Antarctic positions – comfortable with the challenges of working in an extreme environment.
We also have an administration team supporting our programmes from Christchurch.
