Inspiring Explorers Programme Co-ordinator
Full time, permanent role, based in Christchurch
Through its mission to conserve, share and encourage the spirit of exploration the Trust cares for the remarkable Antarctic expedition bases of early explorers including: Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Sir Ernest Shackleton and Sir Edmund Hillary.
It shares the legacy of exploration through outreach programmes and encourages the spirit of exploration through exciting expeditions to engage and inspire a new generation of explorers.
Antarctic Heritage Trust’s Inspiring Explorers Expeditions:
- Provide opportunities for young people to experience and challenge themselves in Antarctica and the polar regions.
- Create opportunities for the young change-makers of tomorrow to connect with and be inspired by the qualities of those heroic Antarctic explorers.
- Offer life-changing perspectives through challenge and exploration in the world’s most pristine and unforgiving environments.
- Create a platform to share inspiring stories.
The Inspiring Explorers Programme Co-ordinator is responsible for the coordination, planning and helping deliver the annual Inspiring Explorers’ Programme.
This role is critical to the success of the Inspiring Explorers’ initiative and is a newly created position.
